A digital magazine for the digital age

Film and Sheet Extrusion is hosted on the state-of-the-art Ceros platform for digital magazines, allowing it to be viewed using a standard internet browser. There is no need to download special software or large files. The user-friendly interface allows you to browse and read the magazine just like a printed product, but with the benefits of online delivery and interactivity.

It is possible to search for key words throughout magazine and there are direct links from the articles and adverts to relevant websites. In addition, you can download the entire magazine or selected pages in the PDF format for storage and printing. Plus you can easily forward links to the magazine, sharing Film and Sheet Extrusion’s valuable content with colleagues, suppliers and customers.

About the Ceros digital magazine technology

The Ceros online publishing platform was developed in 2006 and is becoming the standard for interactive digital magazines. More than 4.5 million Ceros magazine pages are read every week, and the technology is used by many of the world’s leading media companies. These include Bauer, the BBC, CMP, Dennis, Emap, Hearst, Informa, IPC, Reader’s Digest and Reed Business Information.

Turning Pages

There are three ways to turn pages; interactively, with the toolbar or with the keyboard.

To turn a page interactively, simply move your cursor to the page’s outside edge and click your mouse. A single click will turn the page.

To turn pages with the toolbar, click the forward or back arrows.

To turn pages using your keyboard, click the forward or back arrow keys.

Zooming

There are two zoom modes: Simple and Advanced.

Simple Zoom: To zoom in on a specific area of a page, simply move the cursor to the area and click. To zoom back out, click the mouse once more.

Advanced Zoom: To magnify a specific area on a page, click the mouse and drag to draw a box. The boxed area will appear in a new window. To close the window, click "X"

Sending to a Friend

To send clippings to a friend, first select the clipping by clicking and dragging to draw a box. The clipping will be displayed in a separate window. Click the [send to a friend] button. Enter your details and those of your friend, and click [send].

Saving Clippings

To save clippings from your title, first select the clipping by clicking and dragging to draw a box. The clipping will be displayed in a separate window. Click the [save clippings] button. You will be prompted to name the clipping. Enter a name and click "Save". To re-access your clipping, click the "My Clippings" tab.

Your clippings will be accessible each time you re-launch your title.*

Contents Page

Each page can be accessed directly from the dynamic contents window.

To open the window, click the Contents on the left hand side of the browser tab.

To open a page, simply click its entry within the contents window.

Setting Preferences

These can be found under the settings button (with two gear wheels) in the toolbar.

You can determine the level of zoom applicable to your title by clicking and dragging the "Zoom Factor" slider. The Zoom Factor will remain applied each time you access the title.*

You can also switch off the page turning animation. This is useful if reading titles using older, slower computers. To turn off the animation, simply click the checkbox.
